Data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) also paints a concerning picture of substance abuse trends in the United States. Marijuana use is on the rise, with more than 61.9 million Americans admitting to its use in 2022 alone. The NSDUH also reveals that the number of people using marijuana in the month prior to being surveyed increased from 36.9 million in 2021 to 42.3 million in 2022.
