Doug has been working in public policy for more than 30 years. As states began legalizing cannabis, Doug recognized that legalization was outpacing the follow-on legislation and education required to help a wide range of stakeholders navigate the myriad of changes. He joined Hound Labs to help advocate for the common goals shared by employers, employees, unions, legislators, law enforcement, community advocates, and cannabis policy groups – maintaining safety while recognizing the new legal rights afforded to most U.S. adults. Doug’s belief is that all stakeholders will be better served by using the latest breath testing technology.
Doug’s blogs explore the implication of state laws that legalize cannabis use. He also writes about the impacts that various laws may have on other states as well as the impacts these new laws have on various stakeholders.
